Was away the last 2 days at the family chalet bungalow at National Service Resort Country Club aka Safra Resort. Whooping big bungalow.. it's generously roomy compared to those chalets i usually go.I didn't hesitate to try out the beds of the different rooms upstairs upon arrival.. The adults(i dun consider myself one..) played mahjong while hiding from the heat of the afternoon. the kids conquered and took control of the cable tv with their repertoir of screams, shouts and crys. Luckily i brought jm along and had company. else i'll be dead bored while staying in hiding from the afternoon sun. The kids took over the mahjong table while the adults were busy cooking.. oh ya! that's my aunt of four kids with that wacky face!

The fire from the BBQ pit was proudly done up by me & jm. haha.. we struggled initially but with uncle john helping, it didn't take long before the fire is up! it seems to me that ppl who love to eat are usually good at cooking & setting up fire at bbq pits. another perfect example to second my notion was kp. he's real experienced in this kinda thing. which ain't a bad thing at all.. can imagine him showing chivalry to his gf in future by setting up fires, cooking etc.. hee ;) kp joined us a lil' later. he had went to his fren's place for a cny gathering earlier. we explored the place facilities and strolled along poolside. being nassistic and all.. we walked around taking some photos by the beach. it's such a nice place to take pix. i love my fx9 coz it takes real good pix even in scorching sun and glaring sun set!

After the nice peaceful stroll, we went back to the bbq pit where uncle john is king! haha.. brilliant cook i mean. ate our dinner and went bowling after digesting and all.. there was red wine but i dunno how to appreciate it.. gawd.. when will i master that? here i am ever wanting to master drinking wine and liquor but couldn't and there jm was his usual self not wanna touch a single drop. maybe in aussie, where wines would be cheaper, i'll learn... Adults went back to mahjong. we went bowling. it's been quite some time since i last bowled. fingers sore sia.. my fat fingers just won't fit nicely in those 11 pound balls i wanna use so ended up with 12 & 13 pound balls to bowl with. jm is a fast learner.. he improved a lot from his first game. and i'd say i wasn't at my best.

After bowling, jm & kp left. sad.. no company. boredom. the kids were back monopolizing the tv. the adults preoccupied with mahjong and i was alone with my laptop not in the mood for games nor picture editting. when my aunts went back with their families, i was left alone at the chalet. this is NOT the 1st time i stayed overnight at a chalet. my pals let me down when we were serving our national service once too.. then, no one stayed overnight with me on a saturday. despite the fact that i was attached then. my best pals were occupied by guard duty, ocs training and live firing range. what luck.. =(

refusing to cower in self-dispair again this time, i went abt making myself as comfy as possible. yes! i'm kinda crazy sometimes. esp when i get bored. i dragged the queen-size bed down the spiral stairway from upstairs to the living room.. re-arranged the furniture downstairs. and even left "signages" by placing cards on the floor for any unsuspecting room service ppl who might just come in while i was asleep. i love my new revamped "bedroom" which i created with furnitures of the living room. it's so comfy. i hv my laptop, my cable tv, so many pillows and bolsters as i hid under a cosy blanket with the aircon at full blast with fan and watching soccer till i knocked out. i was awoken by knocks on the glass door behind the curtains beside my bed. aunt elsie. haha.. she saw the cards on the floor and thought they looked like tile designs. she brought some pao for breakfast and we chatted and read newspapers. i bathed while she watched some tv before we went out for lunch together around noon. Changi Village Nasi Lemak.. while she had hor fun. then she sent me back to the bungalow while she head for home to pick up the back-from-school kids.

Meanwhile i bathed again(it was hot mah!) and watched some tv. the room service finally came and he kinda interrupted my impending slumber before it even started. oh gawd! after the cleaner was done, and just as i tot i could nap a while, i was interrupted by a few calls. irritating. asking me abt the room service and whether i wanna order otak and satay for bbq.. managed to get back into slumber mode and then it just had to happen.. DING DONG! door bell.. aunt elsie and aunt angie back with a bunch of kids. joined me in my hiding from the hostile sun watching tv and chatting. went swimming in the evening.. ahhh... been sometime since i went swimming.. had a lil' bit of fun with the kids in the pool.. heh.. =)


finally home sweet home. back to picture editting and blogging again.. heh ;) i missed the internet while i was there...
